Short answer: HelpSpace pricing starts at $12 per user per month in its Annual view. Starter’s two-seat minimum makes the starting cost $24 per month equivalent under annual billing, before taxes and add-ons. Month-to-month rates and the exact annual invoice schedule are not verified.
Prices are in USD, excluding taxes. Source: HelpSpace’s official pricing page (linked below), checked September 29, 2026. HelpSpace plans at a glance
Per-user rates below are what the official page displays in its Annual view. HelpSpace’s page code labels the rendered price cards “Annual”, so we read them as monthly equivalents under annual billing. Month-to-month rates are not verified in the reviewed evidence.
| Plan | Per user / month (annual view) | Minimum seats | Maximum seats | Email channels included | Docs sites included | Task boards included |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Starter | $12 | 2 | 5 | 2 | 1 | 2 |
| Team | $20 | 2 | 15 | 4 | 3 | 4 |
| Business | $40 | 5 | Unlimited | 10 | 5 | 10 |

The minimum-seat rule
Starter and Team both start at two seats. Business starts at five. There is no one-seat plan on the pricing page, so the “from $12” headline understates the entry cost for a one-person support desk. The lowest displayed entry point is two Starter seats.
Worked examples
These are our own arithmetic on the displayed annual-view rates. They are not checkout quotes. They exclude taxes and add-ons.
| Scenario | Calculation | Monthly equivalent |
|---|---|---|
| Solo operator on Starter (2-seat minimum) | 2 × $12 | $24 |
| Five agents on Starter (Starter’s cap) | 5 × $12 | $60 |
| Six agents on Team | 6 × $20 | $120 |
| Five agents on Business (Business minimum) | 5 × $40 | $200 |
The jump from five to six agents is the sharpest step in the table. Starter stops at five seats, so six seats require Team or Business. Team has the lower displayed base seat rate. Choosing Team for six agents takes the monthly equivalent from $60 for five Starter seats to $120, before taxes and add-ons.
Add-on prices
Each plan includes a set number of email channels, Docs sites and task boards. Extra resources are priced per month:
| Add-on | Price |
|---|---|
| Additional email channel | $10 / month |
| Additional task board | $10 / month |
| Additional Docs site | $15 / month |

To estimate extras, count the channels, boards and Docs sites you need beyond your plan’s included amount and multiply by the unit price. We do not fold add-ons into an annual invoice estimate. Whether annual billing changes add-on pricing is not verified, and no add-on discount or commitment could be confirmed.
Nothing on the pricing page we reviewed says an add-on raises a plan’s seat cap. Don’t assume one does. If you need more than five seats, the pricing page points to Team or Business.
Choose by seats and resources first
1. Count seats. Six or more agents rules out Starter. Fifteen is Team’s maximum, and Business is listed as unlimited. 2. Count resources. Compare your email channels, Docs sites and boards against the included amounts in the table. 3. Then compare cost. Price the plan that fits, and price any add-ons at the unit rates above.
Business costs more per seat, but a higher price is not a reason to choose it. Choose it if you need its seat range or included resources. We are not recommending a plan on feature claims we haven’t verified, and the pricing page numbers above are the only basis here.
When HelpSpace may not fit
If you need to pay for exactly one support agent, the two-seat entry minimum means paying for capacity you will not use. Compare services that offer individual seats before committing. If you need more than five users, compare Team with other options rather than budgeting from Starter’s headline rate. No competitor prices or feature claims are assumed here.
Trial
HelpSpace advertises a 15-day trial that does not require payment details (source: the HelpSpace official pricing page linked above, checked 2026-09-29).
Before you buy: a short checklist
- Select the billing period you actually intend to use on the pricing page and note the displayed rate.

- Check that your seat count, email channels, Docs sites and boards fit the plan you are choosing.
- Confirm cancellation, refund and renewal terms with HelpSpace directly. These terms are not established by the pricing evidence used for this article.
FAQ
Can one person use HelpSpace on Starter? The pricing page sets a two-seat minimum on Starter, so the entry price is two seats: $24 per month equivalent under annual billing, before taxes and add-ons.
What happens when I need a sixth agent? Starter’s cap is five seats. Six agents require Team or Business; Team has the lower displayed base seat rate. Six agents on Team cost $120 per month equivalent under annual billing, before add-ons and taxes.
What if I need more inboxes? Additional email channels are $10 per month each on the pricing page. Compare that against the included email channels on your plan (2 on Starter, 4 on Team, 10 on Business).
Is there a free trial? HelpSpace advertises a 15-day trial without payment details.
Is annual billing cheaper than monthly? The evidence reviewed does not establish month-to-month rates, so we do not calculate a discount. Select your intended billing period and compare the checkout total.
